About the Role:

The Senior Director, AI & Enterprise Intelligence will lead the strategic vision and execution of artificial intelligence initiatives across the enterprise to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of advanced AI models and analytics platforms that empower business units with actionable insights. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data science, engineering, product management, and business leadership to align AI capabilities with organizational goals. They will also establish governance frameworks to ensure ethical AI practices and compliance with regulatory standards. Ultimately, this position will serve as a key driver in transforming the company into an AI-enabled enterprise, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technological advancement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or data science roles with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record of successfully leading AI strategy and large-scale AI/ML projects in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning frameworks, and data analytics tools.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related discipline.
• Experience in enterprise intelligence platforms and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data lakes.
• Familiarity with AI governance, ethical AI frameworks, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Background in a relevant industry such as technology, finance, healthcare, or retail.
• Experience working with emerging AI technologies such as natural language processing, computer vision, or reinforcement learning.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the enterprise-wide AI strategy in alignment with business objectives and market trends.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, AI engineers, and analysts.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI and machine learning solutions that address complex business challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation and operational improvements.
• Establish and enforce best practices for AI ethics, data privacy, and compliance within all AI initiatives.
• Manage partnerships with external vendors, research institutions, and technology providers to enhance AI capabilities.
• Monitor AI performance metrics and continuously optimize models to ensure accuracy, fairness, and efficiency.
• Communicate AI strategy, progress, and impact to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.

The required and preferred skills are applied daily to architect and guide the development of AI solutions that meet business needs while ensuring technical excellence. Leadership and communication skills are essential for managing diverse teams and aligning AI initiatives with strategic priorities. Technical expertise in machine learning algorithms, data engineering, and cloud platforms enables the Senior Director to oversee complex projects and troubleshoot challenges effectively. Knowledge of AI ethics and governance ensures that deployed models are responsible, transparent, and compliant with regulations. Additionally, collaboration skills facilitate partnerships across departments and with external organizations to continuously enhance the enterprise’s AI capabilities.
