About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Machine Model Builder to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting construction operations by building accurate 3D models for Trimble machine control, managing survey data, and assisting project teams with data analysis. The ideal candidate has strong construction and data management experience, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop precise 3D machine control models using CAD or Agtek software to support project execution.
- Ensure full compatibility with Trimble machine control systems.
- Coordinate data flow between estimating, surveying, and project management teams to ensure accurate and timely information.
- Prepare and manage survey as‑built data for client deliverables and project documentation.
- Compare field data against design quantities to support scheduling, planning, and project management.
- Improve data accuracy by expertly using Carlson Survey and Trimble Business Center software.
- Maintain positive relationships and uphold company values when working with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD and Agtek software.
- Experience with Carlson Survey and Trimble Business Center is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Education & Experience
- Solid construction background with hands-on experience in 3D model building for machine control.
- Experience handling and interpreting survey data, including utility as‑built data.
- Direct experience creating 3D models for Trimble machine control systems.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods, including sitting for long durations.
- Physical strength, balance, and stamina to perform tasks in various field terrains.
