Key Responsibilities:

- Identify causes of problems in production related to tooling and automation and carry out corrective actions to continuously improve OEE                              

- Repair extrusion tools and molds and carry out preventive maintenance on tools in line with IATF16949 standard to ensure reliable performance

- Carry out modifications to molds and fixtures as a result of customer requested engineering changes and internal corrective actions to improve performance

- Test and check molds and fixtures to ensure readiness for production and reliable performance

- Carry out inspection on new molds and modify to correct any issues

- Writing and optimizing CNC programs to create complex parts and components

- Selecting the appropriate tools, machines and materials for each job

- Testing programs and adjusting ensure efficiency and quality

- Collaborating with engineering team to evaluate project requirements and resolve issues related to machine set up and programmed performance

- Maintaining records and documentation for machine specifications and programming notes

  5. Improve and Maintain the Operational KPI´s according to Mergon Mexico Standard:

Essential Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Tooling Technician or related field; or 5+ years 
• Minimum +5 years of process experience in blow molding and injection molding

  • Automotive industry experience (ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 preferred). 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. 
    • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively. 
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
    • Proficiency in English
  • Experience with plastics manufacturing.
  • Visa and passport / Available to travel
