Job Description

Title: Public Relations Consultant



Clearance Type: Secret



 



Scope: Provide support services for public affairs functions to develop processes, provides analysis, advice, and implementation assistance to CPE IEW&S’s communications abilities and to support the mission, objectives, and goals.



 



Responsibilities (including but not limited to):




  • Support the development and implementation of the organization's public relations programs, policies, events, and activities to include correspondence, messaging, and campaigns that span the different levels of Project and Product Management.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with Army and other Services to ensure effective communication and change-readiness capabilities are in place.

  • Provide peer review of physical and virtual promotional materials and monitoring, reviewing, approving, and submitting items for public release Collaborate and draft articles through newspapers, periodicals, and audio and visual communications media, including the Internet and outward facing websites.

  • Create, manage, and publish engaging content – in various formats – across digital platforms (e.g., websites, social media, newsletters) ensuring consistent branding, messaging, and alignment with command priorities.

  • Review published content; monitoring, listening and responding to users developing and expand community outreach efforts.

  • Provide multimedia support, including photography, videography and basic graphic design to support public affairs campaigns, leadership messaging, and event documentation.

  • Monitor community activities and coordinate participation in events and public forums.

  • Development of relevant content in specialized areas of public affairs activities such as press, radio, and TV relations, tradeshow relations and community relations.

  • Development and management of internal communications efforts, including but not limited to newsletters, awards, SharePoint content, etc.

  • Support with knowledge management and staff action task management on behalf of the directorate.
