Job Description

Bnos Malka Academy is seeking an inspiring, knowledgeable, and collaborative educational leader to serve as our Middle School Assistant Principal (Grades 5-8), beginning July 2026. This role is a meaningful opportunity to enhance an exceptional Middle School in both Limudei Kodesh and Limudei Chol with existing structures in place. The Middle School staff is driven, growth oriented, and invested in helping every child succeed. Leading this department with professionalism, warmth, and expertise will continue a culture of growth and excellence for staff, students, and the parent body.

 

Over all, our Middle School Assistant Principal:

·         Is passionate about fostering growth for children and staff

·         Has a strong background in both Limudei Kodesh and Limudei Chol

Key Responsibilities

Instructional leadership

·         Support teachers in curriculum implementation, unit planning using Understanding by Design, lesson planning, classroom management using procedure-based classrooms and an understanding of emotional regulation and instructional best practices.

·         Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to foster growth and accountability.

·         Lead or support professional development sessions for faculty based on growth needs

·         Participate in hiring, coaching, and evaluation of faculty as needed.

 

Student Support

·         Oversee the day-to-day student experience, promoting a positive, structured, inspiring and respectful school culture.

·         Partner with teachers to address academic, behavioral, social and emotional

concerns proactively by looking at the whole child and differentiating as needed.

·         Collaborate with support staff regarding students who need additional academic or emotional support.

·         Develop trusting and meaningful relationships with students to help them along their journey.

·         Lead the Middle School focused on proactive procedures that support a respectful school culture and student accountability. When needed, assist in developing appropriate student-centered consequences to ensure their growth.

 

School Operations

·         Manage scheduling, supervision, procedures, and daily logistics for the entire Middle School in coordination with other departments.

·         Support and help develop school-wide and Middle School events, programs, and initiatives.

·         Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed as needed and building trusting relationships to help all children succeed.

 

Community & Culture

·         Uphold and model the values and mission of Bnos Malka Academy and the Torah.

·         Foster a warm, supportive environment that emphasizes middos, responsibility, and personal growth.

·         Build strong, positive relationships with students, school staff, and parents.

·         Be an active leader of the administrative team, developing collegial relationships and supporting the vision of Bnos Malka.
