Essential Job Functions:

• Supports the Produce Manager in the overall performance, efficiency and profitable operations of the Produce department
• Follows established departmental procedures for receiving merchandise including; inspecting the product when delivered, pricing the product and restocking cases to ensure freshness and quality, accuracy and product rotation.
• Provides excellent customer service and addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
• Assumes responsibility for ordering produce in the absence of the Produce Manager
• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
• Washes, cuts, peels, wraps and prepares fruit for stocking.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment.
• Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Operates and sanitizes all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

• Pay starts at $15.00 per hour

Requirements

• Previous Produce experience is a plus
• Must be able to periodically work in environments with temperatures below 32 degrees F
• Must communicate by Homebase and email
• Good working knowledge of Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Excel is a plus
• Must adhere to all SC Department of Agriculture food safety requirements including following rules of cooling and storing food properly when applicable
• Is an active part of the Rosewood Team so adheres to high standards of service, quality, and presentation and displays the Rosewood Market Core Values
