Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Electro-Mechanical Equipment Specialist is responsible
for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical and
electromechanical systems supporting air separation facilities. This role
serves as the electrical technical authority for medium- and low-voltage power
systems,  motors, drives, excitation
systems, and electrical protection associated with critical ASU equipment.

Essential Functions
•            Develop
and execute electrical reliability strategies for ASU facilities
•            Serve as
SME for MV/LV motors, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, VFDs, soft starters, and
relays
•            Own motor
and drive reliability programs including insulation life management and bearing
current mitigation
•            Perform
and interpret motor diagnostics and power quality data
•            Support
protection systems, relay coordination, and arc-flash mitigation
•            Lead
electrical RCFA investigations and implement corrective actions
•            Support
outages, commissioning, and electrical design reviews
•            Ensure
compliance with OSHA, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and PSM requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
 High School   High School diploma or equivalent.              Required             
Associates degree in Process Technology or equivalent   Preferred             
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with preference to
Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial disciplines             Preferred        

Work Experience
7-10 years       Industrial
electrical reliability or power systems              Required

separation, industrial gas, or continuous process industries.    Preferred        

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
• Industrial electrical power systems including MV/LV
distribution, substations, and grounding
• Motor design, insulation systems, failure mechanisms, and
life-cycle management
• Electrical protection schemes, relay coordination, and
trip philosophies
• Power quality, harmonics, and VFD/drive system
interactions
• ASU operations and critical equipment electrical
dependencies

Skills:
• Electrical troubleshooting of complex motor-driven systems
• Interpretation of motor diagnostics, protection events,
and disturbance data
• Root cause failure analysis and development of permanent
corrective actions
• Technical report writing and communication with operations
and leadership
• Vendor and OEM technical coordination

Abilities:
• Ability to work independently as an electrical technical
authority
• Ability to prioritize reliability risks in
high-availability environments
• Ability to influence maintenance and operational decisions
without direct authority

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Working Condition:    This
role will be performed in office environments as well as in industrial field
environments. While performing duties of this job it would occasionally be
required to:
•            Be exposed
to moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (e.g. operating plant).
•            Be exposed
to outside weather conditions (e.g. cold box valves, filling trailers).
•            Be exposed
to high, precarious places (e.g. cold box, repair work)
Be exposed to high noise levels (e.g. Plant rounds,
maintenance)
Working Condition:    This
role will be performed in office environments as well as in industrial field
environments. While performing duties of this job it would occasionally be
required to:
•            Be exposed

performing the role and duties, including virtual/video meetings.
