Job Description

$30/hour to start

 

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential

duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

skill and/or ability required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure that all produced materials are safely and efficiently inspected, packaged, labeled, then sent to the correct customer.

· Lead and oversee all aspects of customer sample order production from request through shipment

· Coordinate with sales, customer service, and production teams to prioritize and fulfil sample requests accurately and on time.

· Review sample order specifications to ensure materials dimensions and finished goods meet customer requirements

· Schedule and manage sample workflow to meet tight deadlines without disrupting standard production

· Monitor inventory and coordinate procurement of materials needs for sample orders

· Communicate with plant production scheduler to ensure that samples always have proper material on hand.

· Perform quality checks on all samples prior to shipment to ensure they meet company and customer requirements

· Package and prepare sample orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation

· Track and communicate sample order status, delays or issues to internal teams and management

· Maintain detailed records of sample requests, production and shipping information.

· Trouble shoot production or material issues related to sample orders and implement timely solutions

· Train and guide team members on proper handling and production of sample orders.

· Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policy and quality standards

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and turnaround time for sample order processing.

· Notify Sr. Supervisor of any problems, as they arise.

· Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural SOPs

· Must follow the line schedule, Black book, and QC specs. in real time when building

each skid.

· Must troubleshoot problems independently and as a team.

· Always maintain “5S” program daily/monthly standards at all work areas

· Take responsibility of material specs, perform visual inspections and report any defects and/or damage to Sr. Supervisor immediately.

· Able to execute and explain to anyone our PPE and 5-S SOPs for production equipment.

· Able to understand all Quality Control checks and how to use all available tools to perform Quality Control checks in a timely manner.

· Able to maintain and care for all issued tools and equipment in all work areas.

· Responsible for ensuring Quality Control of department and package materials that meets Versatex quality standards

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· 3-5 years in a lead or supervisory position.

· Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

· Communication Skills: Ability to successfully communicate in writing or verbally

· Solid Attendance 1-2 days – No written warnings during the probationary period.

· Must pass Versatex Forklift Training Program

· Must be proficient in using the Core computer system and able to navigate the Black Book Specs within the system.

· Must Understand the function of the Fox IV label printer and able to replace Media Paper/Ribbon.

· Must be able to perform basic machine functions (router, planner, radial saw, etc.)

· Able to perform Quality Control fit testing on all tongue & groove products

· Must have proficiency in email through Outlook and Microsoft Suite of products.

· Must have a valid and clear drivers license to operate company vehicle and stake bed non-CDL truck.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

· The employee is regularly required to perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundation and must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

· The use of all personal protective equipment is required for certain jobs and in specified areas of the plant.

· Willing and able to work flexible shifts, scheduled/posted overtime when required to meet production needs.

The Samples Coordinator reports to the Sr. Supervisor
