    District 27 is searching for enthusiastic, child-centered educators to become a fifth-grade teachers at Shabonee School. There are two jobs available through this posting: one is for a reading/LA teacher, the other is for a math/science/social studies teacher. Both of these positions are one-year positions due to a larger than normal cohort of students and have no guarantee of employment beyond the 2026-27 school year. Northbrook School District 27 is a professional learning community made up of approximately 1,300 students across three schools, educating students to succeed in a changing world. Qualified candidates should possess a valid IL PEL with an endorsement in elementary education. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of prior classroom experience.

    Salary and benefits for this position are covered by the District 27 Negotiated Agreement Between the Board of Education and the Teachers Association. Salary will be determined based on experience and level of education.
