The Elementary Principal serves as the spiritual, academic, and administrative leader of the elementary school division (grades K–5). This individual is responsible for fostering a Christ-centered learning environment that promotes academic excellence, spiritual growth, character development, and strong relationships among students, faculty, and families.
The principal provides visionary leadership, supports teachers in instructional excellence, ensures a safe and nurturing school culture, and upholds the mission, values, and doctrinal beliefs of the Christian school.

Essential Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership
- Model a vibrant and growing Christian faith consistent with the school’s statement of faith.
- Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all aspects of school leadership and culture.
- Lead faculty, staff, and students in prayer, devotion, and spiritual formation activities.
- Encourage Christ-like character, servant leadership, and discipleship among students and staff.
Instructional Leadership
- Oversee curriculum development and implementation for the elementary grades.
- Ensure instruction aligns with state standards and the school’s educational philosophy.
- Support teachers through classroom observations, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Monitor student academic progress and implement strategies for improvement.
- Promote best practices in teaching, assessment, and classroom management.
Faculty and Staff Supervision
- Assist in the hiring process of elementary staff
- Train, and retain qualified Christian educators and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture among faculty and staff.
- Support teacher growth through ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Address personnel issues with wisdom, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Student Leadership and Culture
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and disciplined learning environment.
- Oversee student behavior policies and discipline procedures in a restorative, Christ-centered manner.
- Promote student leadership, responsibility, and positive citizenship.
- Support the social, emotional, academic, and spiritual needs of students.
- Oversee student attendance, records, and academic reporting.
Parent and Community Relations
- Build strong relationships with parents through clear communication and partnership.
- Address parent concerns promptly, respectfully, and professionally.
- Represent the elementary school positively within the community.
- Lead parent meetings, orientations, and school events.
- Support admissions and retention efforts through family engagement.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the elementary school division.
- Develop schedules, calendars, and procedures for efficient school functioning.
- Assist in budget planning and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, state regulations, and school policies.
- Collaborate with other school leaders on strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- A personal and active relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Agreement with the school’s statement of faith and mission.
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field (required).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of successful teaching experience in elementary education.
- Previous administrative or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and school operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
