The Westbrook School Department is seeking a Business Teacher at Westbrook Regional Vocational Center, beginning the 2026-2027 school year.
About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered Business Teacher to join our CTE team and lead an engaging, career-focused program that blends classroom learning with authentic, real-world application. This two-year Business program prepares students for college and career success through coursework in business and human resource management, personal finance, accounting, and Microsoft Office. Students may earn up to 15 college credits, along with industry certifications in Microsoft Office and other related certifications.
A signature component of the program is the Virtual Enterprises International experience, where students operate a simulated business as entrepreneurs and professionals. Through this hands-on model, students apply business concepts in a competitive, real-world simulation while participating in competitions.
The program is enriched by meaningful partnerships with local and statewide business professionals, providing students with authentic exposure to workplace expectations, industry practices, and emerging career opportunities. Students engage with cutting-edge business practices, Microsoft Office Suite applications, accounting software, and a high-quality, work-based learning environment designed to mirror today's professional world.
