ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITION OPENING

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2025-2026  school year for the following position:

1:1 TEACHER ASSISTANT (BEHAVIORAL)
(10 Months � Non-certificated)
Brownstone School 

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma.
2. Effective written and oral expression.
3. Demonstrated ability to work with or experience working with children with disabilities.
4. Demonstrated enthusiasm for supporting the needs of students with significant educational disabilities.
5. Must be able to perform physical work, which requires frequent bending and lifting. Independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance.
6. Able to support middle school academics.
7. Experienced computer/clerical skills � highly preferred.
8. Experience working with students with behavioral disabilities � preferred.
9. Willing and able to implement Handle with Care techniques and de-escalation strategies.
10. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.

Compensation Rate/Range: $32,935-$46,685
