Director of Human Resources

Grandview Rehab is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions within our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, and workforce planning while ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare HR experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to support a fast-paced, unionized environment.



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Preffered)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HR leadership experience (healthcare or long-term care preferred)
  • Experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Experience working in a union environment preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills


Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and retention
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including Connecticut labor regulations
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Partner with leadership to support staffing strategies and reduce overtime and agency usage
  • Oversee payroll coordination, timekeeping, and benefits administration
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, audits, and surveys
  • Running Weekly Payroll
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics (turnover, staffing levels, etc.)
