Job Description
Cross-functional Collaboration: 
Work closely with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product introductions. 

Manufacturing Process Development: 
Design, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and test fixtures. 

Supplier and Manufacturing Management: 
Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to develop and optimize custom parts and production processes. 

Documentation and Compliance: 
Prepare documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), control plans, and work instructions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 

Risk Management: 
Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the product lifecycle. 

Process Improvement: 
Drive continuous improvement activities, analyze production performance metrics, and provide technical support to the manufacturing floor. 

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

4 plus years of experience in manufacturing, process development, or new product introduction (NPI)

Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly

Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers in a high-mix, low- to mid-volume production environment

Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and engineering documentation systems (e.g., PLM tools like Agile, Windchill)

Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and ability to lead design reviews with cross-functional teams

Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related engineering or technical discipline

Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)

Experience launching hardware products in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics)

Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP)

Hands-on experience supporting production line setups, validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and ramp-ups
