Summary
Serve as the Biotechnology Programs Coordinator supporting the Dean of Biotechnology Programs with class schedules, course setups, ordering material, answering student/client inquiries, marketing courses & open enrollment courses. Prepping course packets, and documentation related to the programs.
Position Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates with the Dean of Biotechnology Programs and instructors to arrange class schedules; which includes but not limited to individual course schedules, location, classroom needs, notification emails, and ordering appropriate material for courses
- Serve as initial contact for student or client inquires in person, phone, or email
- Sends requests for course setups, salary distribution forms and/or service agreements to JCC Schedulers.
- Confirms the readiness of course packets ensuring all necessary documents occupy each packet.
- Manages class registration, course evaluation and invoicing processes involving client contract and participants, staff adjunct instructors and/or 3rd party providers.
- Schedules and oversees open enrollment CE courses, webinars, and information sessions to meet immediate community requests and needs.
- Conducts course kick-offs and closeouts when needed
- Reviews required college paperwork and forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Works closely with the Dean of Biotechnology Programs to ensure the quality of training is being delivered to clients.
- On occasion, travel to various locations to serve clients and community.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of program reports and surveys
- Occasionally represent and present information (presentations) at college and community events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Demonstrated success is setting up Professional Service Contracts, and sponsorship forms with industry. Knowledge of industrial technologies, management systems, and quality control processes. Must be a self-starter recognizing the importance of maintaining relationships with industry.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education Minimum: Associates Degree. Demonstrated success assessing the training and education needs of community, scheduling the delivery webinars or seminars; creating and maintaining professional networks; and making professional presentations. Must be a self-starter recognizing the importance of maintaining relationships with our community.
Experience Minimum: Five (5) years of experience in coordinating events, managing schedules, ordering supplies, and working with customers/clients.
