    Dunbarton Elementary School, part of SAU 67, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher who is committed to fostering a strong sense of community and supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student.     The Special Education Teacher will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to design and implement individualized programs that ensure students with disabilities have access to high-quality instruction and meaningful inclusion within our school community.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where students feel valued and supported
    • Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
    • Providing specially designed instruction tailored to meet individual student needs
    • Using data, progress monitoring, and ongoing assessment to inform instruction and adjust supports
    • Collaborating closely with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and differentiated instruction
    • Coordinating related services and communicating regularly with service providers
    • Building positive, proactive partnerships with families
    • Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records
    • Supporting school-wide initiatives and contributing to a positive, student-centered culture
    • Engaging in continuous professional learning and reflective practice

    Qualifications and Desired Qualities:

    • Valid New Hampshire Special Education certification (qualifies for a Statement of Eligibility)
    • Knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional practices
    • Strong organizational, case management, and communication skills
    • Commitment to inclusive practices, social-emotional learning, and student-centered instruction
    • Collaborative, flexible, and solutions-oriented mindset
