Summary:

This role is responsible in providing day-to-day engineering support for the business unit by creating, maintaing, troubleshooting and improving process and product improvements.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide technical assistance to business unit when technical and/or quality problems arise in production/experimental runs. 
  • Manages assigned process/manufacturing optimization projects of minor to moderate size by creating necessary documentation, writing up results and making recommendations. 
  • Support the monitoring and maintenance of equipment and processes to ensure uptime and safe use for manufacturing. 
  • Train, mentor and coach team members as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
  • 4+ years of engineering or technical experience 
  • Experience in continuous improvement, problem solving experience, and/or experience with Six Sigma and Lean tools
  • Hands-on material testing experience
