Job Description

Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Troubleshoot and make repairs on compressors, engines, electric motors and control panels with an emphasis on electrical knowledge.
  • Start up new and used equipment according to OEM specs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to reference material and company guidelines.
  • Adhere to call-out rotation as assigned and when required (Weekends and Holidays).
  • Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate setting of new units.
  • Work independently and adhere to deadlines.
  • Drive a company vehicle; maintain a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Complete service order tickets in a timely fashion through the Company’s service platform.
  • Attend and complete all required training sessions related to the job – including technical training, safety training, human resources training, etc..
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

  • Manage Team-Organize daily calls, tasks and jobs.
  • Be knowledgeable and available to troubleshoot questions and issues with technicians.
  • Check in with technicians on completed tasks throughout the day.
  • Maintain open communication with upper management.
  • Responsible for training new hires
  • Front line communication with Customers.

Physical: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, such as keyboarding and writing.  The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, memos, letters, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently.  Must be able to speak and communicate clearly. Must be able to lift, pull and push 50lbs minimum. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, stretch over and under pipeline equipment. Ability to spend 100% of time outside in all climates and temperatures to do repairs on equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Any certifications or licenses related to required job functions and/or competencies. 

 

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the required minimum 2 years of experience in the field of electrical and mechanical technology.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a field mechanic/technician preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
