CHMC – Pharmacist–Part Time- Day Shift- 7:30a-4– Requisition 9170

Job Grade 8: $64.07-$84.89*

This position will be covering Tuesday, Thursday, and weekend coverage.

The pharmacist provides patients with responsible drug therapy for the purpose of achieving improved patient outcomes. This is accomplished by the timely, safe, and efficient compounding and distribution or medications, monitoring, and clinical assessment of prescribed drug therapies for safety and effectiveness, consulting with healthcare team to optimize patients’ drug therapies and utilization of hospital resources and participating in direct patient teaching and discharge counseling. 

Must have reliable transportation and may be required to float to other facilities as needed.  These elements are not all inclusive.

Qualifications: 

• 
  

  Current NYS License in Pharmacy. 

  
  


• 
  

  Must maintain current BLS Certification.  

  
  


• 
  

  Valid NYS Driver’s license.  

  
  


• 
  

  Must be knowledgeable in the specialized functions of a hospital pharmacy. 

  
  


• 
  

  Must have good oral and written communication skills, computer skills, and ability to make independent and joint decisions.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security 

  
  


• 
  

  Hospital experience preferred, retail experience will be considered
