Job Description

*Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 annually*

 

Job Summary:
PDM Engineers (Product Data Management Engineers) support manufacturing operations by preparing and maintaining the shopfloor system to ensure accuracy, traceability, and efficient production. The PDM engineer assists in configuring system details, assigning serial numbers, generating identification stickers, and monitoring shopfloor activities under close supervision. They learn to troubleshoot common system errors, update data for changing supply conditions, and support cross-functional teams with basic tasks. This entry-level role focuses on building foundational skills in data management, system troubleshooting, and manufacturing processes. The Process Engineering team plays a critical role in bringing new products into manufacturing and ensuring they can be built efficiently and at scale. Process Engineers develop process flows, define equipment and manpower requirements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish new production lines based on customer and headquarters specifications. They validate tools and materials, lead pilot runs, train production leaders, and continuously monitor yield, quality, and performance to refine processes and support smooth mass production.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in configuring shopfloor systems based on Customer Requirement Documents (CRDs), with guidance from senior engineers.Support serial number assignment and sticker generation for accurate component tracking.Monitor basic shopfloor scanning activities and escalate issues such as misplacements or incorrect numbers to higher-level engineers.Update system data daily under supervision to reflect part supply changes.Provide support to Process Engineers and production staff by documenting issues and reporting recurring errors.Learn and apply database and data integrity concepts in a production environment.

  • Foundational knowledge of data management; familiarity with SQL or similar tools is preferred.Basic understanding of hardware or manufacturing processes.Ability to follow instructions and learn troubleshooting techniques for system-related errors.High attention to detail and process consistency.Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.0–3 years of relevant experience in data management, production support, or manufacturing.
