Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Administration Assistant in our JIA Client Relations & Marketing. 

Our JIA (Japanese Interest abroad) team in Cologne is a client relationship arm dedicated to Japanese enterprise located across Continental Europe. Leveraged by the expertise of our underwriter and distribution team in SI Insurance (Europe), S.A., we offer an excellent service to be differentiated from others. The candidate may be occasionally required to support other than JIA team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide full administrative support for our Japanese representatives and assist in the coordination of the onboarding process

  • Arrange and coordinate meetings and managing calendars

  • Data input, report and monitoring

  • Client specific tasks such as responding to emails, phone calls and inquiries in a professional and timely manner

  • Manage travel bookings, itineraries, and expense reports for staff members as needed

  • Ad hoc queries and support as and when required

What you’ll bring:

  • Communication excellence among Japanese, English and German

  • A high degree of discretion and integrity as the role will involve knowledge of and dealing with issues of a sensitive and confidential nature

  • Needs to be able to prioritize demands and have excellent attention to detail

  • The candidate should have strong organizational skills, be able to influence others to meet deadlines and be able to keep calm under pressure

  •  Basic skills of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Ideally experience within a similar role within the Insurance or Financial Services Industry
