Job Description

Job Title: QA Intern
Job Family: IT QA
Location: Hyderabad
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Intern will support the QA team for the ERP+ program, which involves frequent enhancements, integrations, and changes across multiple systems. Given the critical nature of ERP applications, quality assurance requires high accuracy, structured testing, and multiple test iterations.
The intern will work closely with senior QA team members on integrated enterprise applications, gaining hands-on experience in software testing practices, tools, and quality processes within a real-world agile environment.

 Understanding Requirements - Review project documentation, such as functional specifications and user stories, to understand the expected behavior of the application.
 Creating Test Cases - Develop clear and detailed test cases based on the requirements and specifications. Each test case should include conditions, input data, execution steps, expected results, and actual results.
 Defining Test Data - Identify the necessary test data required to execute the test cases. Ensure that test data covers a wide range of scenarios, including valid, invalid, boundary, and edge cases to thoroughly test the software.
 Executing & Maintaining Test Cases - Once test cases are designed, the intern may also execute them, document the outcomes, and report any defects found during testing. Update and maintain test cases and test data as application features change or evolve.
 Defect Reporting - Document and report any defects found during testing using a bug tracking tool (Jira), providing detailed information to help the development team replicate the issue.
 Collaboration with Development Team - Work closely with developers to understand the system architecture and functionality, providing feedback and clarification on identified issues.
 Retesting and Regression Testing - After defects are fixed, retest the affected functionalities to ensure that issues have been resolved. Conduct regression testing to verify that recent changes have not introduced new issues.
 Test Documentation - Maintain accurate documentation of test cases executed, results, and any issues encountered during testing to support knowledge sharing and future testing.
 


KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required / Certification required)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field 2025/ 2026 Batch.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Knowledge of testing concepts and methodologies, including:
 Functional Testing
 Regression Testing
 UAT
 Basic Performance Testing concepts
Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation during testing
Soft Skills:
Analytical Skills -Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and suggest solutions effectively.
Communication Skills -Strong verbal and written communication skills to document test cases and report bugs clearly to developers.
Attention to Detail - QA interns must be detail-oriented to spot inconsistencies and defects in software applications.
Teamwork - Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, including developers and project managers, to ensure quality throughout the software development process.
Adaptability - Open to learning new tools and technologies.
Certification: ISTQB, Software testing life cycle (STLC), Certified Agile tester(CAT), Certified software tester (CSTE).
