Position: Associate Sales Manager

Department: OXO- Housewares, Coffee and Gifting

Work Location: 100% remote- London located preferable-  must have current to right to work in UK to be eligible to apply

What you will be doing:

The Associate National Account Manager is responsible for driving outstanding commercial performance across a defined portfolio of Coffee, Gift, and Bookstore customers and chains, delivering sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion for OXO Good Grips, OXO Brew, and Hydro Flask. The role focuses on expanding and optimizing distribution, accelerating in‑store and online visibility, and enhancing route‑to‑market effectiveness.

This position is accountable for identifying, shaping, and converting new business opportunities within the assigned customer base. The Associate National Account Manager translates central brand, marketing, and category strategies into customer‑specific account plans, trade activation, and POS initiatives, ensuring best‑in‑class execution across all touchpoints.

The role also provides operational and strategic support to the Associate Director / Senior Sales Manager in managing designated channels and territories, ensuring strong alignment, streamlined execution, and delivery of key commercial priorities.

The customer scope includes, but is not limited to, mid‑to‑large retailers within the Bookstore, Coffee, and Housewares/Lifestyle sectors, such as Waterstones, Blank Street, Black Sheep Coffee, Oliver Bonas, and participation in relevant Gift trade fairs.

Development

  • Implementing the commercial strategy to deliver revenue growth, improve profitability, and strengthen the long‑term position of OXO Good Grips, OXO Brew, and Hydro Flask across the assigned customer base.
  • Expanding distribution by opening new Coffee, Gift, and Bookstore chains where OXO Good Grips, OXO Brew, and Hydro Flask are not currently listed.
  • Building channel strategies by defining must‑win SKU–customer combinations and translating them into clear customer strategies and actionable plans.
  • Managing the customer P&L with a forward‑looking approach, incorporating market dynamics, growth opportunities, portfolio evolution, pricing, and margin development.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and activating new business opportunities to maximize short‑ and long‑term profit potential.
  • Leading strategic alignment across current account responsibilities within the wider EMEA region, identifying and leveraging synergies across the sales organization.
  • Shaping and driving strategic agendas for key customers, building long‑term partnerships and supporting category‑led growth through collaborations, SMUs, and exclusivities as elevated launches.
  • Developing account resource strategies to ensure optimal deployment of brand assets and capabilities, maximizing customer and channel impact.

Account Management

  • Translating the commercial strategy (“Where to Play” and “How to Win”) into robust customer agreements, Joint Business Initiatives, brand collaborations, product collaborations, and SMUs.
  • Onboarding new business across Coffee, Gift, and Bookstore channels as required.
  • Converting annual agreements into pricing frameworks and promotional price submissions, ensuring accuracy, currency, and effective communication with Customer Service and commercial stakeholders.
  • Managing and tracking KPIs for designated accounts, ensuring delivery of GSV, gross profit, and contribution margin targets.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive customer contact strategy to ensure full functional coverage.
  • Collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams including e‑commerce, supply chain, logistics, and finance to deliver aligned and seamless execution.
  • Maximising distribution, brand presentation, online and in‑store visibility, and promotional effectiveness to drive incremental sales and brand growth.
  • Managing and maintaining online platforms across assigned accounts to ensure accuracy, availability, and strong brand presence.
  • Continuously monitoring account performance across volume, revenue, margin, stock budgets, and promotional investment, taking corrective action to protect and enhance profitability.
  • Overseeing inventory management, including actions to accelerate sell‑through of excess stock and responsibly clear obsolete inventory.
  • Delivering accurate forecasting to support inventory planning, mitigate risk, prevent out‑of‑stocks, and maintain high service levels.

Admin & Reporting

  • Providing regular performance reporting against defined KPIs (NSV, ACM, margin, and others), delivering insights and driving gap‑closing actions to remain on target.
  • Sharing account, market, competitor, and field insights with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Care to strengthen execution and customer planning.
  • Managing administrative tasks and completing all documentation required for accurate setup of new products, pricing, and commercial terms across customer and internal systems.
  • Supporting the Associate Director / Senior Sales Manager with the organisation and coordination of third‑party sales partner meetings and related commercial activity.
  • Managing and controlling customer‑specific POS budgets to ensure spend is optimised and aligned with agreed priorities.
  • Maintaining customer price lists, brand presentations, and product platforms to ensure accuracy, consistency, and customer‑readiness.
  • Updating and maintaining marketing and promotional calendars and internal communication platforms to ensure visibility, alignment, and cross‑team coordination

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Proven track record managing national retailers and mass channel
  • Excellent knowledge in retail sales BtoB within region
  • Budget & reporting skills
  • Proficient in MS Office tools

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Degree or comparable commercial education with at least  3+ years’ Account Management experience’ within (international) FMCG or CE, preferably A-brands or related experience
  • Authorized to work in the UK on a full-time basis
  • Full Fluency in English
  • Clean driving license
