 Job Summary

The  Class A Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods. This position is critical in our supply chain to make sure goods are received and delivery timely to our warehouse and retailers.   Primary responsibilities include support of our drayage business to ensure timely receipt and delivery of containers from the Port of Boston.

Essential Functions

  • Safe and efficient operation of a Class A vehicle for the timely delivery of goods to our customers.
  • Retrieving and delivery of containers from the Port of Boston.
  • Communicating and coordinating effectively with dispatchers and other customer or team members.  
  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are checked and corrected before driving.
  • Securing/handling of cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years with no at fault RMV/DMV accidents or violations reported.
  • Proven reliability. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Ability to follow safety best practices. 
  • Ability to speak sufficient English to communicate clearly.  
  • Must have CDL Class A.  
  • Must have a TWIC Card. 
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds is required. 
  • Ability to perform all physical requirements listed below.
