Compliance Manager
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Compliance Manager will help Sphera build and maintain a best-in-class compliance program through proactive risk identification and management, fostering a culture of ethical business conduct, and helping navigate global regulatory frameworks as the company continues to grow and scale. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing legal and compliance function. The Compliance Manager will play a key role in Sphera’s continuing growth and success.
Responsibilities
Provide support and advice on the development, improvement, and maintenance of risk management programs.
Develop and implement data-driven analyses of risk to identify key trends and insights.
Assess, measure, and maintain compliance with existing regulatory and third-party frameworks.
Support with drafting, developing and maintaining policies, procedures and other governance.
Help to implement scalable internal processes and controls, including contract tracking and compliance.
Assist with designing and implementing targeted and company-wide training and training materials, and monitor regulatory changes affecting training.
Institute and maintain an effective compliance communication program for the organization.
Provide support on corporate governance tasks and compliance, including subsidiary management and ESG efforts.
Support functional department requests and transactions, and assist on a variety of corporate legal and compliance issues, including investigations, gathering internal information related to governmental or regulatory requirements, preparing customer- and public-facing documents, assisting with corporate insurance-related matters, and various general administrative duties.
Experience and Personal Qualities
Experience (4+ years) with compliance teams covering broad and diverse geographies and risk areas (vendor management, anti-corruption, privacy, etc.), ideally in the tech industry.
Experience designing and implementing an effective, comprehensive compliance program, including drafting implementing policies and training programs across a wide range of compliance topics. Familiarity and expertise with risk and compliance management tools.
SCCE or similar certification preferred.
Drive and patience for formulating and executing on long-term strategies and plans.
Confident, proactive and self-disciplined issue-spotting, with proven problem-solving skills and use of good judgment.
Ability to see the big picture while analyzing and understanding details.
Eager, flexible learner who is comfortable exploring and answering new issues and makes pragmatic recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Meticulous attention to detail, process and ethics.
Experience and comfort working with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Bachelor’s degree required; JD/LLM is desirable.
