Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
 

To assist Maintenance personnel in building and equipment repairs.

  • Assist in maintaining tool room operation as assigned.
  • Pick up and delivery of materials., Inspection and preparation of university vans.
  • Assist technicians with building and equipment repairs.
  • Cleaning of mechanical rooms and maintenance building or other as assigned by manager.
  • Assist in emergency and after hour repairs as needed.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to drive for Belmont business.
  • Minimal knowledge of building maintenance.
  • Demonstrates the ability to read and write in order to follow written direction and instruction.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with hands and work in labor intensive situations following instruction of the maintenance manager.
  • Ability to work from pencil sketches and diagrams Skill and care in the use of University vehicles and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards involved in lifting and general labor practices.
  • Experience working in a
    fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations.
    Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work.
  • Ability to work effectively with
    a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  
Required EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent
  
Required Experience1-2 years experience in a building or mechanical trade preferred.
