The role of Sr. Analyst - Marriott Portfolio will become a subject matter expert on the Marriott portfolio, partnering closely with Marriott and cross functional Amex teams to enhance cardmember value, uncover growth opportunities, and lead strategic initiatives across product and partnership operations.
They will be responsible for supporting the development of product strategy, managing day-to-day partnership activities, and owning the delivery of benefits, services, and capabilities tied to the Marriott co-brand portfolio. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills through performance reporting, data analysis, and insight generation to inform portfolio decisions and shape future strategy. They will also own key initiatives that advance business objectives while navigating both the Marriott relationship and internal cross LOB partners. Responsibilities
Strategy & Analytics
- Support the development and execution of the portfolio strategy.
- Have a thorough understanding of the profitability drivers of the Marriott portfolio, and the ability to identify and communicate areas of opportunity.
- Develop regular reports measuring the performance of key business metrics, recommend and implement strategic actions and solutions.
Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks that inform strategic recommendations.
Partner and Portfolio Management
- Be a product champion and subject matter expert of the Marriott portfolio and our Marriott Cardmembers.
- Act as a core contact for Marriott to help deliver on our joint Amex/Marriott portfolio goals.
- Work effectively across broader Amex teams to deliver enhanced efficiencies, processes, services and Cardmember experiences (Marketing, Servicing, Legal, Compliance, Technologies, etc.).
Lead portfolio management tasks including coordinating project milestones, tracking/reporting progress on key initiatives, managing Cardmember escalations, processing Marriott invoices, and more.
