    The Elementary Special Education Teacher provides specially designed instruction and support to students with disabilities in both inclusive general education settings and small group resource environments. This role focuses on meeting individual student needs, collaborating with staff, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations while promoting student growth academically, socially, and behaviorally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct instruction to students in both general education (inclusion) and resource settings based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
    • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
    • Adapt and modify curriculum, instruction, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs
    • Collaborate with general education teachers to support differentiated instruction and inclusive practices
    • Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly
    • Manage and coordinate services for assigned caseload, including scheduling and documentation
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
    • Facilitate IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making
    • Implement behavior supports and intervention plans as needed
    • Supervise and collaborate with paraprofessionals to support student learning
    • Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and compliance documentation

    Qualifications:

    • License in special education preferred, or working on licensure
