About the Department

The City of Dickinson Public Works Department is looking for a Building Service Worker to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and fully operational. Pay: $20.03 - $22.12 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Friday

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain cleanliness of Public Works buildings, shops, and facilities
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, buff floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets
• Empty trash, recycling, and shop waste containers
• Clean windows, blinds, walls, and equipment surfaces
• Restock restroom and facility supplies
• Assist with setup for trainings, meetings, and department events
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
• Remove snow and debris from entrances, sidewalks, and facility access points
• Lock/unlock facilities and help ensure building security
• Support safe, clean working conditions for Public Works operations
• Respond to facility-related needs and emergencies as required

What You’ll Need:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Up to one year of experience in janitorial, maintenance, or similar type of work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

License: Valid Driver’s License
