Job Description

Description

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for completing necessary repairs to a variety of food manufacturing equipment.    Additional duties are assigned as level increases.  

  • Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist on new equipment installation, working professionally with manufacturing representatives, Engineering team, and other cross functional department team members
    • Diagnose equipment malfunctions utilizing inspection, operation and testing of  equipment for diagnostic purposes.  Provide support for root cause analysis to create corrective actions used to prevent repeat issues  
    • Perform equipment calibrations and preventive maintenance including, but not limited to lubrication and frequency based tasks
    • Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines and GMPs including Confined Space and LOTO
    • Understand when to contact  technical support for assistance for equipment repair or replacement
    • Update computerized maintenance system with accurate information related to work performed
    • Exhibit a sense of urgency around work order completion and documentation of work performed; must be comfortable quickly escalating and communicating equipment issues to others for support
    • Use CI Tools such as 5 Why for root cause analysis and problem-solving

     

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Successful candidates will have a 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or two plus years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical abilities and troubleshooting aptitude required; Electrical experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Professional, can-do mentality
  • Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize; strong time management skills with the ability to work independently without extensive supervision

Summary

2nd & 3rd Shift Premium: $5.00 per/hour
