Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Event Coordinator


Job Summary:
Wichita Country Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our Events Department. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events, including private functions, corporate gatherings, social activities, weddings, and club-sponsored events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our members and guests.


Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and oversee events from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution and member satisfaction.
• Work closely with members and clients to understand event needs, manage bookings, and provide guidance on     event logistics.
• Collaborate with internal departments (culinary, banquet, facilities, etc.) to ensure seamless event operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, including catering, décor, entertainment, and rental services.
• Manage event budgets, contracts, and invoicing while ensuring cost-effective solutions.

• Report to Director of Catering and Events 
• Ensure all events comply with club policies, safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to improve future events and overall member experiences.
• Helping with Reception as needed.


Qualifications:
• Experience in event planning, hospitality, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Proficiency in event management software.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A customer-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
