Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and label seal samples (e.g., O-rings, diaphragms) for testing
- Assemble test rigs and connect instrumentation as directed by test engineers; assist in running standard and custom tests, and monitor equipment
- Log test parameters and results into data management systems accurately
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, minor repairs and trouble shooting on test equipment including hydraulic systems, electrical systems and other industrial equipment
- Assist Engineers with the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures, and machines for product testing, including creating CAD drawings and updating mechanical schematics
- Participate and communicate with internal customers in support of project activities
- Monitor and restock lab supplies, including consumables and spare parts
- Follow all lab safety protocols and promptly report hazards or incidents
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1+ year of experience in a lab or technical environment (entry-level candidates considered)
- Familiarity with test equipment and procedures preferred
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems and circuit design preferred
- Knowledge of CAD and fixture design preferred
- Reporting writing experienced preferred
- Knowledge and experience with MS office

- Technical aptitude for mechanical and materials testing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data entry and use of data management systems
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, climb stairs
