We are seeking an Electronic Imaging Technician to join our team and play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Utilize excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients and other professionals.
- Greet, receive, and direct customers for various activities throughout the department.
- Respond to customer needs and communicate special needs to the appropriate technologist.
- Imaging and Clerical Duties:
- Operate imaging file room equipment and perform clerical functions.
- Access reports, images, and other patient data via EPIC, PACS, or other related software systems.
- Fulfill requests for images by utilizing PowerShare or copying exams to a CD.
- Utilize a CD burner to import images and send to PACS.
- Ensure necessary images are available for surgical procedures.
- Provide clinical information to requesting physicians/offices within HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Skills and Experience:
- Basic knowledge of computers is required.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience in Radiology and PACS preferred.
