The Role 

Fidelity Stock Transfer (FST) in Fidelity Labs is looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join us. As a key member of a growing engineering team, this role will be hands-on building the technology and architecture of world class end-to-end systems. The Expertise You Have 

  • Expert level Knowledge in various relational and non-relational database technologies, ideally PostgreSQL. 

  • Hands on working with SQL, PL/SQL for structured and non-structured data, and SQL & ORM Query optimization and tuning. 

  • Experience in understanding enterprise data architecture concepts, master data management, data modeling and design techniques. 

  • Must be able to identify and implement improvements for DB tables/schemas by indexing, keys, costing, etc. 

  • Familiarity with supporting databases in an AWS Cloud Infrastructure environment. 

  • Hands on working knowledge of Cloud Databases especially Azure Managed Databases such as Postgres 

  • Bonus points for experience with Cloud Database management and configurations in the areas of Cloud DB Performance, Cost Optimization, Multiregional, Scalability, Replication, Utilization, Security, Accounts Optimization 

  • Bonus points for analyzing big data to build reporting using PowerBI and/or Tableau. 

  • Ability to collaborate within enterprise and cross functional Business Units to represent your team 

  • You are comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools. 

  • Learning, adapting and adopting new concepts & technologies quickly and implementing them optimally. 

  • You build positive relationships with other team members and have excellent verbal and written communication.
