Luminator is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for our Plano, TX headquarters site that will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the warehouse, including the management of inventory, coordination of shipments, supervision of warehouse staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards. This role maintains accurate records and focuses on strategic planning and process improvement


What You’ll Do:
Essential Functions
 
  • Operations Management: Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and shipping of materials and products for both Aerospace and Mass Transit divisions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse staff. Ensure effective team collaboration and high performance.
  • Inventory Control: Implement and maintain accurate inventory management systems. Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety training and audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Logistics, to ensure seamless operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to senior management.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software including but not limited to applications and programming.
  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools including but not limited to their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work while identifying the people for the job.

  • Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

  • Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem.
  • Near Vision — The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of inventory, stockroom, and/or warehouse experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership or supervisory experience.

Computer Skills: 
  • Technical and business knowledge to include financial modeling and analysis using Microsoft Excel; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word and PowerPoint. Prior experience with ERP environments and planning in database tools required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, Board members, Committee members or other outside partners.
  • This position may require evening, weekend or other shift work depending on the customer and business needs.
 
Physical Demands
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of the job

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
