Job Description

The Senior Buyer Planner is responsible for managing procurement and planning activities for products manufactured with external partners to ensure timely delivery of services, materials and finished goods as applicable. This role holds responsibility for a specific project/region/business or a larger portfolio of vendors and requires strong coordination with suppliers, contract manufacturers, buy-to-sell suppliers and internal stakeholders ensuring alignment with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Participate in monthly SIOP cycles to align supply plans with demand forecasts and
  • financial targets.
  • Provide accurate supply and capacity data to support IBP decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to close gaps between demand, supply,
  • and inventory strategies.
  • Drive actions to achieve service level, inventory, and cost objectives as defined in
  • IBP/SIOP plans.
  • Deliver on KPI´s: OTD, Customer OTTR, Vendor OTTR, Schedule attainment,
  • exception messages
  • Manage Inventory levels: lot size, lead times, consigned inventory
  • Vendor relationship management: performance, T3 meetings, forecast, scorecard,
  • QBR, backlog
  • Liaison between company and vendor to get support from functional areas for issue
  • resolution
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Review and monitor purchase requisitions
  • Understand market trends
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with strategic procurement requirements



YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain management,
  • preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
