Job Description



The bar manager will help create a cocktail list, organize and oversee the bar area at the restaurant atop Snow King Mountain Resort.  This individual will hire and train bar staff, create schedules, and create a positive bar atmosphere for customers.  They will ensure the bar operations run smoothly and efficiently.



Responsibilities (not limited to):





  • Hire and train bartending staff on all aspects of the role.




  • Ensure that all health, safety, and liquor requirements are being adhered to and kept up to date.




  • Ensure the bar is stocked daily with appropriate supplies and ingredients.  Work alongside vendors to place orders and monitor budgets.




  • Assist with the creation of the bar menu.




  • Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback as needed.




  • Issue bills, accept payments, handle cash and credit cards.




  • Anticipate, identify and correct system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.




  • Communicate with the food and beverage department management and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies equipment, safety problems, etc.




Qualifications


Qualifications:





  • 3+ years of prior bartending and management experience




  • Knowledge of mixology; creation of both traditional and new cocktails.




  • Excellent people skills and a customer-oriented attitude




  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time




  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds




  • Must obtain TIPS certification 




  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English to understand instructions, safety rules, and communicate with guests.




  • Work schedules will include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
