Senior R&D Technician

What this means is higher performing CPUs, components, servers, and ultimately Data and Edge computing centers, all generating excessive heat that is increasingly difficult to manage with traditional cooling systems. Accelsius is developing revolutionary direct-to-chip, 2-Phase cooling technologies that empower and enable Server OEMs, Data Centers, Edge Computing Operators, and 5G Edge deployments to meet performance, sustainability, scale, and cost goals while serving this high-growth market for data services.
Accelsius is looking for a Senior R&D technician to support the design, development and testing of new cooling products and technologies. This position will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and the right candidate will be a curious, self-starter, with a great aptitude for electro-mechanical and fluid system problem solving.
Role Responsibilities:
- High level design of fixturing and test apparatus structures
- Solid modeling of critical components and assemblies
- Wiring of instrumentation, heaters, power supplies, etc.
- Plumbing, filling, troubleshooting of custom refrigeration systems
- Lab testing of prototypes
Qualifications for this role include:
- An engineering technology degree and/or 5+ years of experience
- Refrigeration background is highly preferred
- Solid modeling and electrical skills are preferred
- Generally positive attitude, curious personality
- Enjoys a variety of work, creating new things
- Startup experience is a plus
