- Assist in the hiring and placement of ESY staff, including special education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and support staff.
- Collaborate with special education case managers and service providers to ensure continuity of services.
- Oversee daily operations at program sites, ensuring student safety, staff support, and schedule fidelity.
- Facilitate staff training and orientation prior to program start.
- Monitor attendance, progress, and program effectiveness; provide ongoing support to staff.
- Communicate with families, transportation, and other departments to address needs or concerns.
- Ensure ESY services are delivered in accordance with IEPs and applicable regulations.
- Collect and submit necessary documentation and program data to the Special Education office.
- Valid Special Education or Administrative Certification (or equivalent experience in special education leadership).
- Experience working with special education students
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience supervising staff and managing program logistics.
- Knowledge of IDEA, ESY eligibility, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, administrators, and families.
- Hours: 104 hours (includes 16 hours a week on site and 40 hours of preparation/planning time)
