Job Description

Job Title: Assembler I

Department: Assembly

FLSA Class: Non-Exempt

Pay Type: Hourly


Job Summary: The Assembler I is responsible for building level I products using precise instructions and processes.


Essential Job Functions:
• Builds level I product as defined in Assembly Training Matrix
• Builds products and sub-assemblies with raw materials by using templates, tools, and reading measurements
• Performs all functions according to documented work instructions for products.
• Performs quality checks on all final products.
• Meets or exceeds certification requirements for position.
• Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Safety Health and Environmental team member
• Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
• Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
• Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
• 1 year experience with Kimray products preferred
• Must successfully complete all requirements established as an Assembler
• Manual dexterity
• Strong hand to eye coordination
• Ability to operate Computers, Printers, CTS Tester, Scales, Hoists
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as written instructions
• Must be proficient with verbal communication
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must have analytical and critical thinking skills
• Must pass background check and drug screen

Education:
• High School Diploma preferred


Work Environment:
• Warehouse environment with elevated noise and moving equipment
• Continuous skin exposure to oils, greases, adhesives, paints, and other chemicals
• Continuous exposure to atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system
• PPE required in specific areas

Physical Requirements:
• Continuous standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
