What’s unique about this role?

LHAP / Lighthouse India is currently seeking an Associate ServiceNow Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and administration of the ServiceNow platform. To be successful in this role, the candidate should be reliable, eager to learn, technically inclined, and capable of supporting day-to-day platform operations under guidance from senior team members. This role is ideal for candidates who are building their expertise in ServiceNow development, ITSM workflows, scripting, and platform support.

What will this person do?

  • Support the configuration and maintenance of ServiceNow modules and workflows
  • Assist in developing and updating forms, business rules, UI policies, and workflows
  • Support incident, problem, and service request management processes
  • Assist in troubleshooting ServiceNow-related issues and support tickets
  • Work with senior engineers on enhancement and defect fixes
  • Support integrations with external systems under guidance
  • Maintain ticketing records and update technical documentation
  • Create and update SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles
  • Support platform upgrade testing and validation activities
  • Assist in L1/L2 support activities for ServiceNow issues
  • Identify recurring issues and escalate to senior team members
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams for issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with platform governance and security standards
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work closely with senior developers and architects
  • Participate in team discussions and technical reviews
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for issue understanding and resolution
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in ServiceNow development, support, or administration
  • Basic understanding of ServiceNow workflows and ITSM processes
  • Exposure to scripting and configuration in ServiceNow
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) – preferred
  • Exposure to Service Portal
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS/GCP – good to have
  • Basic understanding of APIs and integrations
  • Basic understanding of ServiceNow ITSM modules, including:
    • Incident
    • Problem
    • Change
    • Request
    • Knowledge
  • Understanding of ServiceNow workflows and ticket lifecycle
  • Exposure to ServiceNow configuration and administration
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript/Glide scripting
  • Familiarity with APIs and integration concepts
  • Understanding of IT support processes and service operations
  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn new modules and technologies

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
