Job Description

This is an opportunity for a strong, confident, people oriented and highly organized person with pastoral and leadership skills who can recruit and develop large teams of volunteers in order to develop a world-class kids ministry experience. As part of the 12Stone Kids Ministry (a.k.a K12), the Kids Pastor must be able to build and lead a ministry where kids, parents and volunteers can grow in faith and connect relationally.



Key Responsibilities




  • Provide spiritual oversight to our kids ministry by creating and maintaining a fun, relational, attractive environment where kids are discipled by capable, caring leaders.

  • Ensure the Bible is being taught clearly and according to each developmental stage (includes nursery, Preschool, and Elementary).

  • Facilitate leadership development and care for leaders and volunteers in K12. 

  • Communicate vision consistently and lead by example with enthusiasm and energy.

  • Ensure all environments and volunteers are safe and secure by following 12Stone policies and procedures. 

  • Coordinate comprehensive ministry plans and objectives for birth through 5th grade.

  • Champion recruitment of new volunteers for K12.

  • Work with Campus Services to ensure we are carrying the vision and plan of what a K12 ministry could be and should be. 

  • Budgets are well planned and managed to ensure we come under budget and reach our ministry objectives. 

  • Coordinate and plan special events:

    • New Volunteer Orientation

    • Volunteer Training

    • Volunteer Appreciation

    • Baby Dedication

    • Other Milestone events throughout the year



  • Initiate and lead projects for continuous improvements in K12.

  • Develop positive relationships with parents and children.

  • Maintain a healthy relationship with campus-wide K12 team and ensure the vision is carried out effectively.
