- Enrollment: Ensuring students are enrolled in school immediately and have a full and equal opportunity to succeed in school.
- Educational Services & Preschool: Ensuring families, children and youth have access to and receive educational services for which they are eligible, including Head Start and preschool programs.
- Referrals to Services: Providing referrals to health, dental, mental health, housing, substance abuse, and other appropriate services.
- Information & Participation: Informing parents/guardians of educational opportunities and providing meaningful opportunities to participate in their child's education.
- Public Notice of Rights: Disseminating public notice of educational rights in locations frequented by parents, guardians and unaccompanied youth, including schools, shelters, and libraries and soup kitchens, in an understandable manner & form.
- Dispute Resolution: Mediating enrollment disputes in accordance with McKinney-Vento requirements.
- Transportation: Informing families/youth about transportation services (including the school of origin) and assisting them in accessing it.
- Professional Development: Training school staff and personnel on identifying and supporting McKinney-Vento students.
- Unaccompanied Youth Support: Ensure unaccompanied youth are enrolled in school, have opportunities to meet the same challenging academic standards as other children and youth, including receiving partial credits and information of their status as independent students for the FAFSA.
- Collaboration: Working with state coordinators and community organizations to support students.
- Identification: Processing all Student Residency Questionnaires to provide student services to support equal educational access.
- Data Collection Supporting the collection of reliable, valid, and comprehensive data. Completing data entry in Infinite Campus for the McKinney-Vento, Foster Care, Neglected and Delinquent status of students.
- Grant Compliance: Responsible for the grant compliance reports, activities and documentation for the McKinney Vento, Title I, Title I Neglected, Title I Delinquent and Title I Foster Care grants.

McKinney-Vento, Neglected, Delinquent and Foster Care Liaison
Job Objective: To ensure that McKinney-Vento children and youth, Foster Care students, and students in the Neglected and Delinquent facilities are enrolled in, and have a full and equal opportunity to succeed in schools of the local school district.
Minimum Qualifications: Teacher Certification with teaching and/or administrative experience in Lawton Public Schools; Master degree preferred
12-month contract with teacher salary plus additional duty pay
