This role provides planning, coordination, and monitoring support for complex operational, engineering, and business initiatives. The postholder will maintain accurate project documentation, track deliverables, milestones, costs, and resources, and proactively manage risks and issues. The role also focuses on promoting project management best practices by sharing lessons learned, advising project leads and team members, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and driving continuous improvement across programmes.
Responsibilities
Provide planning, coordination and monitoring support for complex operational, engineering, and business initiatives
Maintain accurate and timely project plans, meeting notes, status reporting and other relevant project documentation
Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and tasks. Assist in defining scope, deliverables, success criteria and key metrics of the project in conjunction with project leadership and other key stakeholders
Monitor project cost and resource usage where appropriate
Escalate risks and issues that have potential to impact project(s)
Respond to stakeholder requests for information
Identify and recommend best practices, techniques and tools for project planning, execution, tracking, communication and key performance metrics for the department
Share lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels
Manage project administration, independently assess areas of improvement, and collect feedback for a lessons learned report
Advise project leads and team members on project management best practices
Qualifications
FORMAL EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in business, science or technology field
Preferred: PMP certification
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must have five (5) years of work experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, order management, engineering, procurement, finance, technical (R&D), EHS, regulatory, sales and marketing functions, and support IT systems
Experience in project management, or a functional leadership role on supporting large or complex multi-functional and multi-divisional projects, including business or system integrations, acquisitions or rationalizations
Fundamental knowledge of project management methodology, tools and techniques
Knowledge of project scheduling and monitoring tools
Experience with process mapping and implementation
Working knowledge of transactional lean principles and techniques
Preferred:
Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience supporting large or complex multi-functional and multi-divisional projects, including business or system integrations, acquisitions or rationalizations
Have seven (7) years of work experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, order management, engineering, procurement, finance, technical (R&D), EHS, regulatory, sales and marketing functions, and support IT systems

Proficient at completing objectives from initiation to implementation
