Kitchen Supervisor / Kitchen Manager

Full-Time Position

At Coen Markets, our mission is to impress and satisfy every guest with every visit. The Kitchen Supervisor / Manager leads the food service operation by ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting team member development.

This role is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, training team members, and ensuring guests receive fresh, high-quality food quickly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Leadership

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient workflow
  • Lead, train, and coach Kitchen Associates
  • Ensure team members follow food preparation and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive, team-focused work environment

Food Quality & Safety

  • Ensure all food is prepared according to company recipes and standards
  • Monitor food temperatures, holding times, and product freshness
  • Enforce health, sanitation, and food safety regulations
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization

Inventory & Operations

  • Manage kitchen inventory and food ordering
  • Oversee vendor check-in, ordering, and inventory control
  • Monitor product levels and reduce food waste
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and functioning properly

Guest Experience

  • Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately
  • Address guest concerns related to food quality or service
  • Maintain high standards for presentation and freshness

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of food service, restaurant, or kitchen leadership experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Proven ability to control food costs and manage inventory
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ServSafe (or equivalent) certification within 90 days
