About the Role:

The Assisting Director of Residential's Program Supports plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals that we support by ensuring that all supportive services are effectively implemented and managed. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and oversee programs that meet the diverse needs of individuals that we support. The successful candidate will be responsible for case management, ensuring that each resident receives personalized support tailored to their unique needs.. Additionally, this role requires a commitment to continuous improvement, as the candidate will assess program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments. Ultimately, the goal is to foster a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for all individuals that we support.

The Tools you need: 

  • BA/BS/AA Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work or another appropriate field. 
  • NADD Specialist Credentialing (within 3 months of hire)
  • 2-4 years of experience working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism.
  • 5+ years of current programming experience, across settings

Expectations: 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possesses organizational skills and the ability/flexibility to manage a large caseload.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in various settings.
  • Proficient in MS Office and/or other windows-based programs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance and own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of residential programs.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and develop individualized case management plans.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support services.
  • Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate training and support for staff to enhance service delivery and resident engagement.

Skills:

The required skills of case management and supportive services are essential for daily operations in this role. Case management skills will be utilized to assess resident needs, develop tailored support plans, and ensure that services are delivered effectively. Supportive services skills will help in coordinating with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers and community organizations, to enhance the overall well-being of individuals that we support. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for building relationships with individuals that we support and their families, fostering trust and collaboration. The preferred skills, such as leadership and program evaluation, will further enhance the candidate's ability to drive program success and improve service delivery.
