JOB SUMMARY: Provides full and complete Manufacturing Engineering support to production to facilitate the manufacturing of simple to highly complex Electro-mechanical products. Provides technical guidance to others within and outside the manufacturing department on an as required basis.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Review new build opportunities for go/no go and identify if any new tooling is required.

  • Review Gerber?s and create PCB panelization drawings.

  • Generate digitization of files as needed.

  • Generate labor time estimates for new opportunities.

  • Create and/or update visual aids and process plans.

  • Specify and order SMT stencils.

  • Attend production readiness review meetings.

  • Review and address all TAR?s. Solve technical production issues as they arise.

  • Analyzes MCN?s to determine the most efficient way of introducing such changes into the production process.

  • Support production (CCA, Cable & Box Build) as needed with programming and/or operation of production equipment.

  • Assist in the maintenance and documentation of production equipment which includes:

    • SMT Stencil printer, SPI, SMT placement machines, SMT reflow oven, AOI, X-Ray, Selective Solder, Wave Solder, PCB Depanelization Router, AMP K-Press, Labeling Systems, Conformal Coating, PCB wash systems, MicroVu.



  • Assist in specifying new capital equipment needs and equipment facility requirements.

  • Attend continuous improvement meetings and address action items in a timely manner.

  • Other duties and projects may be assigned as business needs dictate.

  • Team player willing to roll up sleeves and help other team members when necessary.



Specialized Duties (per individual skill set)




  • Design and 3D print and/or build jigs and fixtures that are required to support the manufacturing process.

  • Perform high skill level rework as needed, such as BGA?s, QFN?s, Connectors, etc?
