OLV Human Services is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and treatment planning for youth in residential, outpatient, and day treatment programs. This role works closely with the Out Patient Clinical staff and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
Salary Range: $100 - $130/per hour based on licensed years of experience.
Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works with treatment team and psychiatrists to ensure the best possible health outcomes possible for the individuals in treatment. Scope of practice includes medication management, diagnostics and treatment planning. Individuals supported include youth in the OMH Residential Treatment Facility, Outpatient Clinic and Day Treatment programs. Providing back up to agency psychiatrists is also a key duty and will include periodic on call responsibilities.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Provide diagnostic examinations for client intake.
2. Prepare treatment plans aligned with evidenced based practices.
3. Prescribe medications aligned with psychiatric treatment guidelines.
4. Triage and treatment of emergency situations, as appropriate for the clinical setting.
5. Diagnosis and referral of emergent conditions, beyond the scope of care at location, as appropriate.
6. Completion of progress notes, quality assurance records, and documentation of delivered services.
7. Keep accurate and complete patient records.
8. Work directly with all clinical treatment team on all aspect of operation both clinical and administrative as needed, including active communication with treatment team members.
9. Participation in all required employee training programs.
10. Provide back up for agency psychiatrists, including some on call duties.
11. Additional duties as the program designates.
12. Complies with all federal and state regulations and agency policies pertaining to HIPAA, false claims, whistleblower policies and all others.
13. Complete Continuing Education as required for NYS Licensure.
14. Performs all other job-related duties assigned by supervisor.
