BUDGET ANALYST
Under the general supervision of the Budget Administrator, the Budget Analyst assists with the design, development, and oversight of Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network’s (DWIHN) financial budgets and forecasts on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Budget Analyst will assist with the following duties and responsibilities:
· Preparation and input into DYNAMICS GP, the $1.2 billion-dollar annual operating budget for DWIHN on an annual basis.
· Preparation of all supplemental documentation for budget presentation to the Board of Directors.
· Monitoring and analyzing budgets to actual variances throughout the year.
· Preparing and distributing monthly departmental budgets to DWIHN departments.
· Preparing quarterly projections and necessary amendments to the budget accordingly.
· Reviewing and providing budget authorization for all electronic personnel requisitions.
· Maintaining an organization-wide list of vacant positions.
· Reviewing and providing budget authorization and accounting numbers for all travel requests, service vouchers, purchase orders and requisitions.
· Reviewing and providing budget authorization for all contracts for services. This also includes preparation of a budget allocation page and adding account codes to each request.
· Designing effective budgeting policies and procedures and implementation thereof.
· Designing and presenting budget models including department level and organizational models.
· Creating new account codes as DWIHN expands its business.
· Preparing special projects at the request of the Budget Administrator or VP of Finance.
· Performs related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related degree.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Five plus (5+) years of full-time paid professional experience working in a budgeting, finance or accounting position (preferably in government enterprise accounting).
REQUIRED LICENSE(S).
A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office setting. This position can work remotely with supervisory approval. Currently this position is primarily a remote position.
