Job Description

The Saugus Family YMCA is looking for a Social Media Specialist. This candidate must be knowledgeable using social media platforms, bring enthusiasm, and have a passion for creating engaging content. The camps involved on this campus are Camp Hillside, Gymnastics, Adventure Warrior and Cheer and Tumble Camp.

Hiring Process: Must apply and submit a resume. Your application materials will be reviewed, and we will determine where we feel that you would be a strong candidate for the Saugus YMCA campus. If so, we will contact you for an interview with the Directors. 

Staff hours can be between 20-25 hours a week. There is mandatory training prior to the start of camp that must be completed to work. Other pieces of training will be held within the month of June. First Aid and AED training will be offered numerous times! 

Saugus YMCA Social Media Specialist 

General Function: 

  • Experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram
  • Publish new, engaging content daily including pictures, video, and camp information
  • Collaborate with Camp Directors and marketing team to create a vision
  • Interact effectively with campers and families daily
  • Promote the YMCA and the Saugus Camps offered to the community
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Implement creativity in content
  • Photograph/video photo-eligible campers only

Entry Requirements 

  • Shows a passion and creativity for photography and video
  • Ability to advertise/market
  • Substantial use with social media platforms
